Q: If my wisdom teeth don't bother me at age 35, should I get them removed anyway?
show answer...A: close answer...All dentists are experts in dental health. Regarding your question, If assessed by a dentist or periodontist for periodontal health (i.e. if the wisdom teeth are contributing to an existing periodontal condition), then extraction may be recommended. A panoramic x-ray is usually advised to assess for other pathology such as a cyst or infection in the bone or destruction of the molar in front of the wisdom tooth (resorption). If such pathology exists, the dentist can diagnose and assess as to advise extreaction. If no pathology exists, at age 35, it is acceptable not to extract the tooth. -

Q: How much does an implant cost?
show answer...A: close answer...A single implant with its crown ranges in cost from $3,000 to $4,500. Bone grafting will put the cost up to $5,000 per tooth. It is possible to replace a whole set of 32 permanent teeth with implants, this route is very expensive, so supplementary devices such as bridges are often used along with implants.
